Skype is the coolest

Technology is amazing. We recently got a webcam and have been using Skype to talk with people. My family tried unsuccessfully last year to get everyone hooked up, but I think we need to try again. When we were first getting our camera and account hooked up, my college roommate Steve called us. I answered and could here him talking but couldn't see his video. He tried to talk me through clicking the correct buttons with not much success. Finally, after about 2 minutes I pulled up his video on the full screen of my computer. There was Steve's butt. He was mooning me. I laughed until I almost cried. I'm sure the people who developed this technology would be proud to see people using it in such a creative way. We have also been talking to Hannah's family who are in New Zealand at the moment. It is kind of funny because if we run out of things to say, you just sit there staring at them as they stare back at you. It is truly riveting.

The best part of this Skype thing is that it is free. You don't even need a webcam. You can call and speak just like a phone, but with the video it is pretty darn cool.

Life is pretty darn good these days. Teaching this semester is going well for me and I just turned 30. I'm not freaking out, but am really enjoying it. Hannah is getting over a sinus infection and is kicking butt at being awesome Hannah.

Until next time...
