Here was a highlight of our spring break trip to visit Hannah's grandpa with the rest of the Melby clan.

Ice Climbing

I tried ice climbing a few weeks back in Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park. It was really fun! Hope to do it again, but I am ready for warmer activities now!

rob was the Promising Teacher at his school this year, which is an award given to those who have been teaching 5 years or less. each school in the district can vote on one promising teacher and one excellence in education teacher (those who have tought 5+ years). after submitting a lot of paperwork and references rob was selected as one of the 5 final nominees for the district award. quite an honor! we enjoyed a nice banquet with some of his fellow teachers and rob was given a certificate and a gift card for another free dinner. (we love free food!) the top photo is rob with another nominee from his school and his principal.
