tomatoes

Cedar asked to pick tomatoes from the garden today. I think he may have actually picked more red ones than green this time. He likes to take one or two bites out of each tomato. I think he has yet to finish one. He also like to eat the peas, cucumbers and peppers straight from the garden. There is something about eating your veggies straight from the source that is more appealing than off a plate with your parents pestering you to take a bite. Maybe it's the little bits of dirt between your teeth that come with being freshly picked. I have read that the lack of dirt in our scrubbed, pasteurized and over all citified diets may be contributing to disease and illness. Eat up Cedar!

"see animals"

My mom took Cedar to the zoo after Imogene was born and he has been asking to "see animals" ever since. We hear "See moneys (monkeys), yions (lions), ephants (elephants), rhinos, zampas (zebras)" over and over. He finally got his wish and we were able to share the excitement with him, along with Grandpa, Nana, Jake, Rachel, Amanda, Addie and Eli. Cedar was very glad to get to see his animal friends again.

Imogene * 1 month

Hard to believe it has already been a month. We have already gotten a few smiles out of this little girl.

Frisco

We spent the week in Frisco with Rob's family enjoying time with family, cooler weather and great recreation. Cedar took a while to warm up to his aunts and uncles. He loved being outdoors with his cousins. The food and fellowship were great.

 Hike to Rainbow Lake.

 The siblings.

The closest Cedar would get to being in the "cousins" photo.

 A mild ball obsession.

Imogene spent most of the weekend being shuffled from person to person. She had no complaints.

river

We spent the morning at the Poudre River. After the rain last night the river was black from the burn area nearby. Rob, Cedar and I all braved the murkey water for a little wading and rock throwing.

garden

Cedar is enjoying sugar snap peas, strawberries and lemon cucumbers straight from the garden these days.
