Cedar at 2.5

• Despite the tantrums, clinginess and inability to share, I think the 2-2.5 age is my favorite so far.  Cedar is constantly making us laugh with what comes out of his mouth and is so fun to take places when he is well rested and fed. At night he doesn't go to sleep right away after we put him down, but after an average of putting him back to bed 4 times he sleeps fairly and takes a good afternoon nap.
• After having Dad explain how waving and smiling is part of the fun at parades, Cedar treats every outing like a parade. He is more than willing to say "hi" to random strangers and point out his new boots or something else he is excited about.
• Is in the process of getting his 2 year molars. This has resulted in some fussiness and irritability, but overall he is handling it well.
• I currently know most places in Fort Collins where roadwork or construction is happening. When leaving the house we map out our route to drive or walk by the most backhoes and dump trucks as we can.
• He has started to sing and "read" books out loud on his own, which is hilarious if you have a chance to hear it.
• This child is an amazing snow shoveler. He doesn't care much for snow forts or snowmen, he wants to shovel! Starting next winter we are going to send him out to earn money for college shoveling driveways.
• His little world of the particular way that he plays with his toys is about to be rocked in a few weeks as Imogene starts crawling. I forsee quite a lot of pushing, tears of frustration and moving toys to his bedroom in the future :)
• He has stellar coordination and balance.

• Favorite books: Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site, Where the Wild Things Are, The Very Cranky Bear, The Jolly Farmyard
• Favorite Foods: peppers, granola bars, marshmallows, eggs, bananas, apples, muffins
• When he grows up he wants to be the zookeeper that feeds Groucho the elephant at the Denver Zoo.
• Loves: Jumping, biking, digging, bulldozers, animals, swimming, Curious George, hiking, kicking balls, the zoo, the museum, rhinos, hippos, tapirs and Groucho the elephant.

You give me hope that 2 will be fun. I'm sort of dreading having 2 right at that stage - but you've done it so well! He's so adorable!
