imogene * • * 8 months

Imogene at 8 months...

• Still very stationery. She is very grabby, but only with what is within reach. I am actually very thankful that she is going to be a late crawler and walker. I can set her down somewhere and know she won't go anywhere. I see dirty hands and knees in her future as she will most likely be crawling this summer when we are camping and spending the majority of the time outside.
• She loves her brother and they are starting to interact more, although he doesn't love her grabbing his hair.
• After a rough night we had to take her to urgent care on Sunday morning and thankfully she was diagnosed with an ear infection. This winter we are at 2 out of 6 visits to the doctor that were actually worth the time and money. I had recently sworn off taking the kids to the doctor if there are no bones sticking out and as long as I can stop the bleeding at home. I caved after spending all of Saturday night rocking her and trying to calm her down. My kids love to get sick on Sunday mornings, which is the only day that our pediatrician's office is not open. Hello urgent care.
• She usually sleeps well from 8-5, but then wants company for the last few hours of the night.
• I had to buy a new car seat this weekend after Rob found out that she weighs 19.5lbs (clothed) at urgent care, which is what Cedar weighed at a year! Her current car seat is only good up to 20lbs.
• Apparently she has a tooth coming in on the bottom side, which explains why she always has her finger in her mouth these days. I can't feel it, but trust the doctor at the urgent care.
• Her favorite thing to do is clap and she loves to talk when she is in a comfortable environment.
